Introducing our new Chief Officer

Posted: 12th November 2020

After ten years managing Citizens Advice Mid Suffolk, Carol Eagles has accepted the role of Chief Officer at Citizens Advice Suffolk West. We’re very grateful for the contribution that Carol has made to the charity, from moving us into our new accommodation, welcoming Princess Anne, and steering us through the coronavirus lockdown. Simon Clifton has been seconded to the post of Chief Officer by our board of Trustees to replace Carol. Simon has worked at the charity since 2014 in fundraising and business development roles.

Marsha Hemingway, Chair of the Trustee Board, said “On behalf of the Trustee Board, I would like to thank Carol for her stewardship of Citizens Advice Mid Suffolk over the last ten years. Carol has always had the interest of our clients at heart. We wish her well and look forward to working closely with her in her new role.

These are challenging times for the voluntary sector. Citizens Advice Mid Suffolk is fortunate to have someone with Simon’s experience to take on the role of Chief Officer. Simon has played a crucial role in adapting the charity to meet the new demands arising from covid-19. I’m confident that we will be well placed to meet the challenges of the coming year with his leadership.”
