Support us in Small Charity Week

Posted: 18th June 2018

Did you know that 18 – 23rd June is Small Charity Week? Small Charity Week celebrates and raises awareness of the essential work of the UK’s small charity sector who make an invaluable contribution to the lives of millions of individuals, communities and causes across the UK. Citizens Advice Mid Suffolk is a locally funded independent charity. This week we are asking people to support us by raising free donations with The Giving Machine.

TheGivingMachine is a fundraising charity setup to help other charitable causes raise money online. By signing up and shopping online via TheGivingMachine you will generate a free cash donation for us. Over 2,000 of your favourite retailers, including Amazon, Ebay, M&S, NEXT, Tesco, Sainsbury, John Lewis and Ocado, are signed up with TheGivingMachine. When you make a purchase via TheGivingMachine the retailers pay a commission, which is turned into a donation.

In order to start raising free donations please go to https://www.thegivingmachine.co.uk/causes/citizens-advice-mid-suffolk and join.

Citizens Advice Mid Suffolk may be a small charity, but we have a big impact on our local community:

  • In 2017/18 we supported over 3,408 clients with 9,352 problems
  • We managed over £1.4m of debt on behalf of our clients
  • 50 volunteers donated over 21,00 hours of their time to provide our service
