Bathed in glorious sunshine and sporting her learner driver L plates Annie Tyler started her Captain’s year by driving off from the first tee. Annie has kindly selected Mid Suffolk Citizens Advice Bureau as her chosen charity for 2015/16. She said “As the new Ladies Captain of Stowmarket Golf Club I have chosen to raise money for Mid Suffolk Citizens Advice Bureau during my year as Captain. I have opted for this particular charity because it provides a well-used and much appreciated service to local people in Stowmarket and the surrounding area and because of my personal links with it through family and friends. I am delighted to have the opportunity to raise funds for Mid Suffolk CAB which will be used to help finance a much needed replacement telephone system. This will greatly assist in meeting the growing demand for help sought by people in rural areas around Stowmarket who may not be able to come to the Mid Suffolk CAB office”.
Carol Eagles, Mid Suffolk Citizens Advice Bureau Manager commented: “We are very grateful to have been selected as this year’s charity. Stowmarket Golf Club has always been very supportive, providing us with volunteers and now to be their Ladies Captain’s Charity of the year is a real honour.”
