I came to Suffolk in 1980 for a short term job. I’ve been here ever since! I started work visiting farms as a sugar beet agronomist, moved into agricultural journalism, then housing and homelessness, eventually ending up as a social worker.
I became a Citizens Advice volunteer in the 1990’s when the youngest of my five children started playgroup. I continued my association with Mid Suffolk Citizens Advice in various roles including generalist advisor, supervisor, trainer and welfare benefits specialist until 2015.
I am now very happy and honoured to be a part of the trustee board for this incredibly important and successful organisation.
